Flower Face는 23살의 유능한 뮤지션 Ruby McKinnon의 예명이다. 14살무렵부터 작곡을 시작했다는 그녀는 그녀가 영향을 받고 좋아하는 뮤지션으로 Mazzy star를 꼽는다. 그 외에도 여러 뮤지션들이 있지만, 지난 해 10월말에 선보인 곡 Cornflower Blue를 들어보면, Mazzy star의 영향을 받았음이 느껴지지만, 그보다 그녀만의 멜랑콜리하고, 꿈꾸는 듯한 분위기는 정말 매력적이다. 그녀의 지난 과거의 육체적, 정신적 상처(실제로 투병해서 완치된 것 같음)에서 기인한 영향들이 가사 곳곳에서 느껴진다. 내면의 자아를 이해하고, 자신을 받아들여, 사랑하는 것에 초점을 맞춘 내용이라고 한다. 가사를 읽어보면 꼭 이 싱글 재킷의 느낌이 그대로 전해진다.
