D16의 기대작 LuSH-101 아날로그 모델링 VSTI 발표 임박!

지난 해에 잠깐 소식을 전한 후 한 동안 잠잠했던 D16의 기대작, LuSH-101이 근래 소식이 조금씩 전해지더니 오늘 전모가 드러났다.

조만간 가격 및 정식버전 발표일정이 알려질 것이라고 하며, D16의 웹사이트에서는 LuSH-101 페이지 및 사양, 데모사운드등이 공개가 되었다.

그간 D16이 발표한 작품들로 볼 때  충실한 재현성은 말할 필요가 없을 것 같고, 공개된 사양을 보면, 꽤 괜찮은 정통파 아날로그 모델링 VSTI가 탄생할 것 같은 느낌이다.

모처럼 근래에는 TAL에서 Roland Juno-60의 충실한 에뮬레이션인 UNO-LX도 발표해, 필자같은 빈티지 아날로그 매니아들에게는 또 다른 형태로 즐거움을 느낄 수 있는 기회가 생겨 꽤 기쁘다. 이 LuSH-101 또한 그러한 기쁨을 한층 더 해줄것으로기대한다.

정식버전 리뷰때 자세한 이야기들을 할 예정이어서 여기서 많이 말한 필요는 없지만, 이 VSTI는 인터페이스의 모습이나 이름으로 보더라도, Roland SH-101에 기반을 둔 VSTI이다. 그리고 대개 이런 류의 VSTI가 그렇듯 자체의 충실한 에뮬레이션에 그치지 않, 보다 확장된 기능을 추가하고 VSTI만에서 구현할 수 있는 장점을 당연히 넣게 된다. LuSH-101도 예외는 아니며, 나름대로 꽤 근사한 작품이 될 것 같다.

정식버전을 사게 되면, 필자의 SH-101과 비교를 해보아야 겠다. 여담하나 하자면 Freeware이기는 하지만 SH-101의 에뮬레이션으로서는 지금까지 나온 것중 TAL의 Bassline이 최고다! SH-101 사운드의 특성을 상당히 잘 잡아내고 있는 VSTI이다. 추천!
